Hi kids, it's your fun ol' Uncle Matty here with ya. Yes, that's right, it's me...(woo hoo!!!)...Sorry haven't been around all that much lately, just been busy with other stuff, and you know how it goes, life happens. But, as you can see, I have been drawing a lot (Rickman, 60%, Joker, 50%, and others...) Just haven't been keeping up with the journal.

I don't really know why, guess I just never seem to get around to it. (Plus, that Facebook Mafia Wars thing, well that's just addictive...Yes, that's right, I'm on Facebook now, and if you want to "be friends" or "join my mafia"...let me know...I need more people!!!) And of course, my addiction to television (Cold Case is a great show, Leverage starts soon, Burn Notice is already on, and well there's many more...) and The Food Network..(Oh, the things I would do with Paula Dean...that's right, I said it...That woman can COOK!!!)

But yes, yesterday was my 36th Birthday. No, I don't wanna make a big deal out of it, I really didn't do nothin' yet. So thank you in advance if you say "Happy Birthday," but...well I've had 35 of them already. But it's not so much the birthday thing for me, it's what it stands for...I have a lot to accomplish by the time I turn 37, and let's just see how it goes.

As most of you may or may not know, I am blind in my right eye, and my left eye "acts up" at times. Why? I have a condition called Occular Histoplasmosis..(say that fast 5 times...) which has severly affected my eyesight, caused me to endure some pretty painful treatments, and basicly means I can never see a 3-D movie...(no depth perception..plus, the glasses are two different colors...can't see out of one of them...duh!!!) Well, a couple of years ago, I filed for disability benefits from out fine government due to a back injury. Well, they dragged it on for so fuckin' long now....guess what? The back injury, it's not the problem anymore...now it's my freakin' eye. So next month, I get to plead my case to a judge as to why I can't work with it, and see what we can do.

The other big thing is at the end of this month. I also have a bone condition called Fibrous Dislaysia, which caused a couple of tumors (not cancer, but that's what they call them) growing on my jaw and skull (forehead, right eye area) that caused them to be disproportionate..(I look like someone just hit me in the face with something really BIG!!) Well, there is a conference I will be going to here in Chicago at the end of July, from a group called the "Magic Foundation", which deals with all sorts of rare disorders, one of which being, Fibrous Displaysia. The only way to correct my jaw and stuff is through surgery, and they are gonna have all sorts of people there that may actually be able to help me feel a little more "normal" than I always do now. (NO, I didn't say mentally, just physically. Mentally, you all know I'm no where near normal....Matty and normal, should never be in the same sentence...EVER!!) And I'll get a few answers to questions that have been with me for a long, long time.

So, as always, I'll keep ya informed about what goes on there, and almost everywhere else, cause I will undoubtedly have an opinion about a thing or two.

Like this: You know what, I don't want the FUCKING OLYMPICS IN CHICAGO!!! Traffic already sucks, who's gonna pay for it all, and why would we build a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff, that isn't gonna be used when the games are over...So send them to Tokyo, or where ever, fine with me...just keep them away from CHICAGO!!!
